The Challenge
Millions of caregivers are too far away to be there every day.
You can't call every day
Work, time zones, and life get in the way. The guilt builds up between calls.
Conversations are hard
Memory loss means repeated questions and forgotten stories. You don't know what to say anymore.
You're in the dark
Between calls, you have no idea how they're doing — emotionally or cognitively.
How It Works
Three simple steps. Zero tech needed for your loved one.
Tell Eppie about your loved one
Share their life stories, favorite topics, and daily routine through a simple questionnaire. The more Eppie knows, the better the conversations.
Eppie calls at the perfect time
Trained in Alzheimer's-specific communication, Eppie calls during peak alertness hours — and always avoids sundowning periods when anxiety peaks.
You get daily insights
After each call, receive a summary of what was discussed, your loved one's mood, and cognitive trends over time — all in your dashboard.
Built Different
The only AI companion designed specifically for Alzheimer's.
Alzheimer's-Specialized Conversations
Eppie never asks "do you remember?" — and handles repetition with infinite patience. Based on Validation Therapy and Person-Centered Care.
Works With Any Phone
Landline or mobile. Your loved one just answers the phone — no app, no setup, no tech skills needed. Even works with a 1990s wall phone.
Cognitive Monitoring
Track language patterns, orientation, and cognitive trends over weeks and months. Share reports with healthcare providers.
Life Story Integration
Conversations powered by your family's real memories. Eppie talks about their wedding, their first job, their favorite recipes.
Smart Scheduling
Calls at peak alertness times (typically 10am-11am). Automatically avoids 4-7pm when sundowning causes anxiety and confusion.
Care Circle
Invite siblings, a spouse, or other family members to view call summaries and cognitive reports. Everyone stays in the loop.
Backed by Science
Clinical research shows AI companion calls reduce depression in dementia patients.
"After 63 AI phone sessions, participants showed statistically significant improvements in depression scores and memory assessment."
— CLOVA CareCall study, 80 dementia patients, published in Scientific Reports (2025)
Eppie doesn't replace your calls. It fills the gaps between them.

Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this safe for someone with Alzheimer's?
Absolutely. Eppie's conversation engine is built on clinically validated approaches — Validation Therapy, Reminiscence Therapy, and Person-Centered Care. It never asks "do you remember?", never corrects factual errors, and never discusses distressing topics like finances, legal matters, or the passing of loved ones. If your loved one becomes upset, Eppie gently redirects to calming, familiar topics.
Does my parent need a smartphone?
No. Eppie works with any phone — including landlines. Your loved one simply answers the phone when it rings. No app to install, no buttons to press, no tech skills required. We've designed it so that someone who has never used a smartphone can still benefit.
How does Eppie know what to talk about?
When you sign up, you'll complete a Life Story questionnaire about your loved one — their childhood, career, hobbies, favorite songs, family memories. Eppie weaves these into natural conversations. Over time, Eppie also learns from each call what topics bring joy and engagement.
Will my parent know it's an AI?
Yes. Eppie always identifies itself honestly at the start of each call — as a friendly community companion calling to chat. We believe transparency is essential, both ethically and practically. Eppie never pretends to be a family member.
What if my parent gets upset during a call?
Eppie is trained to detect emotional distress and respond with empathy. It validates feelings, gently redirects to comforting topics, and if distress persists, gracefully ends the call and immediately notifies you via SMS. Safety is always the priority.
How is my parent's data protected?
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We follow HIPAA-aligned security practices. Call data is stored on US-based servers and never shared with third parties. You have full control over your data and can delete it at any time.
Can I listen to the calls?
We provide detailed AI-generated summaries after each call, including topics discussed, emotional indicators, and any concerns flagged. Full call recordings are available as an optional feature in the Premium plan, with all appropriate consent and privacy protections.
Your loved one deserves a warm conversation today.
